I have a few entries in the teddy bear, rabbit and other creature categories, and am really excited as it will be my first competition!  It will be great to see all the entries, so please support teddy bear artists and cast a vote for your favourites!

The fur beats me again!

Well yesterday I started off with the intention of making a fairy bear, and for some reason, beyond my comprehension, it just didn't work out that way.  Once I had made the face she just didn't want wings!  She begged me for a bit of "bling", so unable to resist a plea from a bear, I obliged, so welcome (drum roll please)

Diamond Lil!

She is available on the site now :)

My Home Town - Carrickfergus!

I was brought up in the seaside town of Carrickfergus, which is around 12 miles north of Belfast in Northern Ireland.  Some of the things that I love most about it is...
  • It has a superb coastline setting along Belfast Lough with views to Scotland, home to a wide diversity of wildlife, including seals, eagles and guillemots
  • an imposing and renowned 12th Century Norman Castle that overshadows an ancient Harbour
  • an historic town centre, enclosed within 16th century stone walls, complemented by contemporary shops, cafes and restaurants
  • smart public promenades, walkways, parks and piazzas with public art and stunning civic floral displays, multiple winner of 'Ulster in Bloom'
  • an impressive and vibrant new Marina and Waterfront development
My wee town has come a long way over the last few years and I have seen many changes since I returned here, after living in Manchester for almost 10 years.  Hopefully the town will continue to flourish!

Polymer clay

Well I have finally gotten round to trying to make a few polymer clay noses for my bears.  Lots were too big, some were too small, but I'm sure that in time I will find a wee face perfect for them!  My first attempts are Amber and Cherith, and I love how they have worked out!
